We want to thank you guys for checking out our blog. We’ve been overwhelmed by the calls, texts, facebook messages, and comments regarding God’s call on our lives. We've had a LOT of visitors to the blog. We know that God is in this. He literally has opened every door along the way! We’re so thankful to know we have the support of our family, church family, and friends. We are so excited about getting on the ground and anticipating what God is going to do.
Many of you have asked what you could do to help us as we transition and then help sustain us once we get there. So, we have a few things we wanted to share with you how you can help.
1. Rummage Sale (we sellin’ our stuff) at Middlebrook Pike Baptist Church from 9-3pm on February 4th in Knoxville, TN. We have clothes, kitchen stuff, living room stuff, you name it, it’ll probably be there and for sale. We may even be selling some food. We’ll let you know. All of these funds will help us get there!
2. Pictures for Missions!!! Kristi is a great photographer and is offering her services to take pictures of you and/or your loved ones. If you currently live in or near Knoxville, send me an email to kabeman606@aol.com and we’ll set you up. We’re doing this for a donation to go towards our relocation. (It'll cost $600 alone to rent a Uhaul…not including gas)
3. Prayer Support. This is CRUCIAL. Prayer is essential to everything and we NEED your prayers. We’ll update our blog often to tell you how you can pray for us. We’re needing people that will commit to praying for us daily as we try to share the Gospel in a DARK city. We need the prayers of the saints to go before us.
4. Financial Support -
Church Partnerships-We want to form monthly, quarterly, and one-time partnerships with churches. With the partnerships we will be keeping you informed of the work via newsletters, blogs (like this one), videos, and making ourselves available to speak in your churches. In return, we also want partnering churches to begin assembling teams to send up on short-term mission trips. Once approved through the North American Mission Board, we'll give more information regarding individual giving.
